When I first became interested in doing nails, I often wondered "How long do acrylic nails last?" Your acrylic nails should last anywhere between 2- 4 weeks, sometimes even longer. However, the length of your nails and what you do with your hands can play a factor in regards to the longevity of your nail set. If you you have long or XL nails, they have a greater chance of breaking, especially if your nails have little to no apex or if your apex wasn’t place properly.
The other factor in regards to acrylic longevity is the nail tech. It’s important that your nail tech has a good prepping method. Meaning your nail tech properly prepares you natural nail for adhesion of the nail extention and acrylic. It is also important that the nail tech places the acrylic beads in the appropriate areas to provide the nail with strength and durability.
Do you think nails last longer when you book with a private/independent nail tech vs a nail salon?
